Jaded Studios LLC ("Jaded Studios," "we," "us," or "our") makes games and runs this website. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
01 Who we are
Jaded Studios LLC is an independent video game studio based in Lansing, Michigan. You can reach us any time at Contact@thejadedstudios.com with questions about this policy or your data.
02 What we collect
On this website, the only personal information we collect directly is:
- Your email address, and only if you choose to sign up for our newsletter.
We do not require you to create an account to browse this site, and we do not ask for your name, address, or payment details to use it.
In some of our games, to support online play, accounts, and competitive features, we or our service providers collect:
- Account and login information — some games let you sign in using a third-party account (such as Google). When you do, we receive a player account identifier so we can recognize you across sessions. We do not receive your third-party account password.
- A username or display name that you choose or that is associated with your account.
- Gameplay data such as ranked status, wins and losses, match history, and similar in-game statistics.
- Technical and usage data — our game services may automatically collect device identifiers, IP address, and gameplay/usage analytics to operate the game, match players, maintain leaderboards, and keep the service secure.
Like most websites and online services, our hosting and game-service providers may automatically log basic technical data (such as IP address and device or browser type) for security and to keep things running.
03 How we use it
We use the information we collect only to run our newsletter, operate our games, and improve what we make:
- Newsletter email — to send you studio updates: playtest invites, devlog posts, and launch news.
- Account, username, and gameplay data — to let you log in, save your progress, match you with other players, run leaderboards and ranked play, and display your stats.
- Technical and usage data — to keep our games and services secure, diagnose problems, and understand how our games are played so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly.
04 Service providers
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:
- An email platform to manage the newsletter.
- A hosting provider to serve this website.
- Epic Online Services (EOS), provided by Epic Games, to power login, accounts, matchmaking, leaderboards, and related online features in some of our games. When you use these features, Epic processes account, device, and usage information under its own privacy policy. You can review it at epicgames.com/site/privacypolicy.
If you sign in using a third-party account such as Google, that provider's own privacy policy also applies to the information they handle.
05 Our games
Our games are distributed through platforms like the Apple App Store and Google Play, and each store has its own privacy practices in addition to ours. Individual games may provide additional in-game privacy information specific to that title. The data practices described in this policy apply across our website and games.
06 Children's privacy
Our games and this website are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. While many of our games are rated suitable for all ages, we do not design them specifically for, or market them to, children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at Contact@thejadedstudios.com and we will remove it.
If we ever release a game that is specifically directed to children, that game will include its own privacy notice and any parental-consent measures required by law.
07 Your choices and rights
Because the only personal information we hold is a newsletter email address you chose to give us, you are always in control of it:
- Access or correct it — email us and we'll help.
- Delete it — unsubscribe, or ask us to remove you, and we will.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those rights; just reach out.
08 Data retention & security
We keep your newsletter email only for as long as you stay subscribed. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.
09 Changes to this policy
As our studio grows and we release new games, our data practices may change. When they do, we'll update this policy and revise the "last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
